Using the current 1.6.0b2
After installing Blender 5.2.2 and the integration, attempt to enable it ends with an error of incompatible python version:
Can’t really say where it comes from. My OS Python version is 3.14
Thanks for the report. Was it working with previous Rotatrix versions?
I see you use Arch Linux, which I read modifies Blender to use the OS Python, when Blender normally bundles 3.13. Here is another Blender plugin with similar issue: [BUG] Python 3.14 incompatibility · Issue #538 · hlorus/CAD_Sketcher · GitHub
Haven’t yet looked into it but I wonder if it’s a matter of changing the declared Python compatibility.
It was working previously, a few months ago. But I wiped my working laptop on the previous week and installed it from scratch. I’ll try to get versions out from the cache and preserved HOME
I’ll try to dig a little bit into the compatibility too to see what’s broken.
Can’t easily extract the info how it used to work, but the fixing is a matter of adding the following line to the blender_manifest.toml together with the file itself:
wheels = [
"./wheels/msgpack-1.1.2-cp314-cp314-manylinux2014_x86_64.manylinux_2_17_x86_64.manylinux_2_28_x86_64.whl",
Should be fixed in 1.6.0b3 - I included wheels for more python versions in the build.
