KiCad is a popular open-source electronics design suite for schematic capture and PCB layout. (It’s also what I used for the Rotatrix Wired board itself!)
I’ve added Rotatrix support using the OpenAxis SDK, covering not just the 3D Viewer of the PCB and components, but also the 2D editors:
- PCB Layout
- Schematic Editor
- Symbol Editor
- Footprint Editor
In these 2D editors, you get the same linear-feeling panning and smooth twist-to-zoom control that Rotatrix provides in 3D.
